Redevelopment Extension

A bungalow which originally was a small L-shaped property set within a huge plot of land, has seen several additions over the years. Recently, under new ownership, it is the desire of the occupant to substantially update the house to offer a space dedicated to family life and socialising whilst having direct access from the main living area onto the large rear gardens.

We produced a design to offer a clean contemporary twin gable extension, benefiting from a vaulted ceiling with a high level of glazing to promote natural light throughout the new space and further into the existing property.

From the roadside the bungalow, although recently updated, subtly appears to be a regular modern property that blends well with the surrounding homes. When venturing to the rear of the house, the crisp architectural lines of the new extension, really maximise the bungalow’s potential.
