The serene confines of this tranquil village is home to two aging bungalows have graced a substantial plot of land at the heart of the High Street for many years. Retaining ownership within the original family, who constructed these homes, we were approached to devise a design that would optimise the site for additional, much-needed housing.

The High Street has undergone substantial transformations over the years, with its architectural landscape evolving to reflect the varying trends of different eras. Our considerations extended to the neighboring listed building, which has undergone significant alterations since its initial listing.

The local authority approved our outline planning application for the demolition of the two properties and replacement with five family homes for the village. These residences boast private parking, equipped with electric car charging points, expansive gardens, and a secure environment for the occupants.

The site was purchased by local homebuilder, Karm Homes, who places the well-being of the village as a top priority. Collaborating closely with Karm Homes, we are in the process of finalising a reserved matters planning application for the creation of five homes. These homes will embody a harmonious blend of traditional aesthetics and modern arrangements, contributing to the evolving tapestry of the Village Street scene in the imminent future.
