The fantastic family who have lived within this home for quite some time and have already extended the house, approached us to produce a design to add further space rather than moving to a larger residence.
As with many other clients, this would allow them to continue to live within the area they love for the future as the family grow older.
To do this we immediately added a further level dedicated to bedroom space. This enabled us to reformat the ground floor to allow for a large, open plan kitchen, dining and living room with separate utility, shower room, study and a further snug. A double height lobby and stairs leads to 3 double bedrooms, the master of which has a generous ensuite and dressing room. There is a well proportioned family bathroom and an essential storage room which could offer a multitude of different uses.

The initial Concept was based on a contemporary design which, although was met with interest from the client, it was obvious that there was a keen preference to produce a more traditional outlook for the finished works. Retaining the internal layout, we offered an alternative proposal that incorporated a material palette more suited to this requirement to which we are really pleased with the detail.
With spectacular views towards a significant local landmark, the new design not only sits perfectly within the site but also exceeds the clients preference on the external finish.
