Bespoke New Build Home

Crafting a residence that stands apart from the ubiquitous 'normal' houses scattered across the country presents a unique opportunity to curate a thoughtful living space. The goal is not only to enhance the visual appeal within its surroundings but also to embrace eco-friendliness.

In this particular instance, we seized the chance to create something distinctive along the road, focusing on generating ample energy from renewable sources to power the entire building. The roof's pitch is meticulously designed to accommodate solar panels throughout, feeding a battery that not only sustains the home but also powers charging points for the owners' vehicles. Every aspect of this house was meticulously considered from the outset. The client shared our enthusiasm for making it a self-sufficient property, breaking away from the standard, economically driven red-brick homes erected by large development companies.

While unconventional projects like this may face skepticism from Planning Officers and neighbours, it is crucial to prioritise designing structures that not only provide shelter but also align with environmental needs for both current and future generations. We must strive to set an example of a building that challenges the conventional perception of mundane housing.

The push for diversity in architectural design should be embraced, even if it means altering the local landscape. Local Authorities need to champion sustainable design, fostering a future where buildings exhibit unique characteristics rather than adhering to a uniform template. The imperative shift is towards thoughtful, technically sound design, transcending the replication of structures simply because they have endured in an area for an extended period.
